State waging genocide in Gaza and wars on Lebanon and Iran; arms importer and exporter

Country · Israel · Country

Israel is the state whose wars on Gaza, Lebanon and Iran since October 2023 sit at the centre of this map. On September 16, 2025 the UN Commission of Inquiry concluded that Israeli authorities and security forces committed four of the five genocidal acts defined by the Genocide Convention, and called on all states to stop transferring arms that may be used for them. In Lebanon, the Ministry of Public Health counts 8,953 people killed and 30,649 wounded by Israeli attacks through 25 September 2026. In Iran, HRANA had verified at least 1,701 civilian deaths, including 254 children, from US and Israeli strikes by 7 April 2026, a minimum count. Israel spent $48.3B on its military in 2025, according to SIPRI, and imported most major arms from the United States (68%) and Germany (31%) in 2021–25. Its arms exports hit a record $19.2B in 2025.

US military aid to Israel, Oct 2023 to Sep 2026$25.7B
Oct 2023 to Sep 2026U.S. GovernmentUnchanged. Costs of War has published no update past Sep 2025 (homepage checked 2026-10-05; Al Jazeera 28 Jul 2026 still cites the same estimate). The Oct 2025-Sep 2026 increment is the FY2026 appropriation part (no overlap: different fiscal years). No 2026 supplemental for Israel enacted: the $87.6B Iran-war supplemental request (Jun 2026) has no Israel-specific line in reporting. Costs of War says the figure excludes arms-sale agreements, so it is kept separate from the arms-sales part.
