Auditor-General flags Department of Urban Roads for GH¢57.01 million in overstated payment claims, the largest of GH¢162m flagged across state agencies

Ghana's Auditor-General's report on arrears and payables found that state agencies overstated payment claims by a combined GH¢161.98 million, uncovered when confirmation responses exposed inflated figures submitted by Ministries, Departments and Agencies. The Department of Urban Roads recorded the single largest overstatement at GH¢57.01 million, ahead of the Ministry of Transport (GH¢39.92m), the Department of Feeder Roads (GH¢22.46m), the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (GH¢20.08m) and the Ghana Highways Authority (GH¢17.50m).
