Sweden

EU arms licensor to Israel (follow-on deliveries only since Oct 2023)

Country · Sweden · Country

Sweden licensed €4.65M of military exports to Israel in 2023 and delivered €1.53M, according to the EU's annual arms-export report. The Swedish government says it has issued no export licence for the sale of military equipment to Israel since October 2023 and that later exports were follow-on deliveries to private companies of components that were not counted as military equipment at the time of the original delivery. It also says Sweden has not licensed sales of military equipment to Israel's armed forces or other state actors since the 1950s. Even so, components kept flowing to Israeli companies while Israel carried out what the UN Commission of Inquiry concluded in September 2025 was genocide in Gaza.
