Supplier of body armour to Israel and buyer of SPYDER
Country · Czech Republic · Country
Czechia has been one of Israel's most loyal partners in Europe. Within days of October 7, 2023, Czech industry rushed about 3,000 ballistic armour plates and vests to Israel, and EU data show Prague granted €35M of arms export licences to Israel in 2024. AOAV counts more than €127M of Czech licences in 2014–2022, including ammunition, armoured vehicles and small arms. Czechia is also a buyer of Israeli weapons: its 13.69 billion koruna ($627M) contract for four Rafael SPYDER launchers is due to be delivered by 2026, worth about $1B over 20 years with support. Prague has announced no suspension of licences despite the UN Commission of Inquiry's September 2025 finding of genocide and call on states to stop arms transfers.
