San Antonio Ethics Review Board sanctions Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez for concealing his intent to block a truck dealership from the company until the morning of the council vote

On January 28, 2025, the Ethics Review Board unanimously found District 2 Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez violated the ethics code by impeding a private party's interest: at an October 17, 2024 council meeting he tried to get the property owned by Doggett Freightliner annexed without the zoning the company had requested, blocking its planned truck dealership, after letting the company believe he supported the zoning and notifying them of his opposition only the morning of the vote. He was issued a letter of admonishment and ordered into ethics training.
