EU arms licensor to Israel
Country · Portugal · Country
Portugal licensed €11.28M of military exports to Israel in 2023 and delivered €5.38M in actual military exports that year, according to the EU's annual arms-export report, the Council's own compilation of member-state data. Those 16 licences were issued in the year Israel began the assault on Gaza that the UN Commission of Inquiry concluded in September 2025 amounts to genocide, and the Commission called on every state to stop transferring arms that may be used for genocidal acts. The EU data list licence values by military-list category but do not identify the products or Israeli end users, so the public record does not show what Portugal sold.
