Government of Israel

State found by UN inquiry to have committed genocide; owns IAI, Rafael

Agency · Israel · Organization

The Government of Israel directs the assault on Gaza and the wars on Lebanon and, in 2025–2026, Iran, and it owns two of its biggest arms makers, Rafael (99.9%) and Israel Aerospace Industries (100%). In January 2024 the ICJ found a plausible risk to Palestinians' rights under the Genocide Convention and ordered provisional measures, adding further orders in March and May 2024. On 21 November 2024 the ICC issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Military Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity, including starvation as a method of warfare. In September 2025 the UN Commission of Inquiry concluded Israel had committed genocide and named Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog and Gallant as having incited it. The Gaza Ministry of Health reported 74,016 Palestinians killed and 175,068 injured by 26 September 2026. The government also profits from the killing, through record arms exports of over $14.7B in 2024.
