Russia's Supreme Court removes Yabloko from the Duma ballot on a rival party's suit citing copyright, foreign funding and 'extremism'
The Central Election Commission registered Yabloko's federal list on 29 July 2026; on 7 August the party Rodina sued, and on 10 August the Supreme Court cancelled the registration, citing alleged copyright violations (including AI-generated images and a line from a 1958 play), foreign funding and extremism. Yabloko, described as the only party campaigning against the war, said it is funded by Russian citizens.
