Ukraine: recruitment-center staff convicted of beating civilians received suspended sentences and stayed in service, court records show

A hromadske review of court records found that three recruitment-center (TCC) servicemen convicted over a February 2025 detention and beating in Rivne Oblast each received four-year suspended sentences and remained in military service, two of them at TCCs. A Ternopil serviceman convicted in May 2026 of beating a man, who suffered fractured ribs and facial and hand bones, received a suspended three-year sentence.
