Buyer of Barak MX and past licensor to Israel
Country · Slovakia · Country
Slovakia is a buyer of Israeli weapons and a historic licensor of exports to Israel. In December 2024 Israel's Ministry of Defense announced a sale of IAI's Barak MX system to Slovakia for about €560M, and the first battery reached the Slovak armed forces in April 2026. AOAV counts €117M of Slovak licences to Israel in 2014–2022, including €12M related to vehicles and tanks. Slovakia does not appear among the EU states listed with 2024 licences to Israel in EUobserver's report on the latest EU data, and its current export flows to Israel are unverified. Prime Minister Robert Fico's government has not announced any restrictions, and the Barak MX money flowed to IAI during the Gaza genocide.
