Licence producer of Rafael's Spike missiles
Country · Poland · Country
Poland's coalition government said in August 2024 that it had ceased supplying lethal weapons to Israel, and EU data show Polish licences to Israel of €1M or less in 2024. AOAV counts just under €4.9M of Polish licences in 2014–2022, more than €2M of it explosive devices. Poland's deeper tie is as a customer and licence producer for Israeli industry: in August 2023 Rafael announced a contract worth nearly $100M for state-owned Mesko to make hundreds more Spike anti-tank missiles, Poland's third Spike order, in a partnership running since 2003. With SIPRI recording that Poland spends 4.5% of GDP on its military, the highest burden in NATO, the Polish market sustains Israeli weapons manufacturers whose products are tested on Gaza.
