Germany's federal police ombudsman faulted the Federal Police in discrimination and racial-profiling complaints, mostly from border checks.
In his 2025/26 report to the Bundestag (Drucksache 21/6850, 7 July 2026), the Federal Police Commissioner said 50 complaints of discrimination or racial profiling against the Federal Police reached him between July 2025 and June 2026, mostly from checks at borders, airports and train stations. He opened investigations in 33 and objected to ('beanstandet') police conduct in ten.
