US–Israel JDAM and munitions sale (notified 7 Feb 2025)

FMS notified Feb 7, 2025

Contract or deal

On 7 February 2025 the State Department notified Congress of a $6.75B Foreign Military Sale to Israel. The approved maximum quantities were 2,166 GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs, 2,800 MK-82 500-pound bomb bodies, 13,000 JDAM kits for 2,000-pound MK-84 bombs, 3,475 JDAM kits for BLU-109 bunker-busters, 1,004 JDAM kits for GBU-38s and 17,475 FMU-152 fuzes. Boeing and ATK Tactical Systems were the principal contractors, and deliveries were due to begin in 2025. Congress did not block the sale, and on 1 March 2025 the administration used emergency powers to speed about $4B of arms to Israel. Actual delivered quantities have not been published, so these numbers are ceilings, not deliveries. The same weapons kept appearing in strikes: Bellingcat documented JDAM-guided bombs destroying Gaza City towers in 2025, and Amnesty found JDAM parts in Tehran in March 2026.
