REPKON USA

Turkish-owned bomb-body maker; prime contractor for 12,000 bombs for Israel

Company · United States · Organization

REPKON USA is the Texas subsidiary of Türkiye's Repkon Holdings. On April 2, 2025 it bought General Dynamics' 38-acre Garland plant north of Dallas, the site the U.S. had named weeks earlier as principal contractor for 35,529 MK-84 or BLU-117 bomb bodies for Israel. During the U.S.–Israeli war on Iran, Secretary of State Marco Rubio declared an emergency and skipped congressional review to approve a $151.8M sale to Israel of 12,000 BLU-110 1,000-pound bomb bodies, with REPKON USA as prime contractor. Ynet reported that the wider package was worth $660M and covered more than 20,000 MK-80 series bombs. A Turkish-owned company is therefore making bombs for Israel while Türkiye's government publicly condemns the genocide in Gaza, a contradiction that apparently survives contact with a purchase order. REPKON also signed a strategic memorandum with BAE Systems UK in Feb 2025.
