Country under Israeli bombardment and invasion; destruction of South Lebanon
Country · Lebanon · Country
Lebanon is the second front of Israel's wars since October 2023. Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health counts 8,953 people killed and 30,649 wounded by Israeli attacks from 8 October 2023 to 25 September 2026, including 4,386 killed and 12,413 wounded since 2 March 2026. The ministry does not split the toll into civilians and combatants, and no reliable comprehensive split exists, so this map does not call all 8,953 civilians. Israel's war on Lebanon has brought the destruction of South Lebanon's border villages and the first combat use of new Israeli weapons: Elbit's Ro'em howitzer fired operationally for the first time in Lebanon in April 2026, and Elbit's Lahav/PULS launchers fired more than 50 'Bar' rockets at buildings and other targets there in 2026. Each battlefield debut becomes a sales pitch for the Israeli arms industry.
