Anti-aircraft and anti-missile system

Barak MX is an anti-aircraft and anti-missile system made by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), which is wholly owned by the Israeli state. It can fire three interceptor types, with ranges of 35, 70 and 150 km, against aircraft, drones, cruise missiles and tactical ballistic missiles, from land or ships. IAI markets it on its wartime record: at the August 2026 Greek signing the company called it "combat-proven" and pointed to interceptions "against Iran and its proxies". Slovakia bought it for about €560M in December 2024 and took delivery of the first battery in April 2026. Greece included it in the €3B "Achilles Shield" deal of 31 August 2026. Europe accounted for 54% of Israel's 2024 arms export deals. The UN Special Rapporteur's July 2025 report names IAI among the firms that supply weapons to Israel at home and strengthen its military alliances through exports.
