Vietnam

Rafael Spike licence production; IAI spy satellites

Country · Vietnam · Country

Hanoi, heir to an anti-colonial war, is buying the Israeli arsenal. Calcalist reports that in early 2026 Vietnam signed a deal worth about $250M for Rafael's Spike missiles, including the long-range Firefly, with a factory to be built in Vietnam and know-how transferred from Israel. Less than a year earlier it ordered two intelligence satellites from Israel Aerospace Industries for about $700M (ORF puts it at about $680M). Rafael's SPYDER missile system came about a decade before. Charge: anti-colonial history, colonial hardware.
