James D. Taiclet

Lockheed CEO; called the Iran war a 'golden opportunity'

Lockheed CEO · Person

James D. Taiclet is chairman, president and CEO of Lockheed Martin, maker of the F-35 that Israel flies over Gaza. Lockheed's proxy reports his total pay at $23.45M for 2025, $23.75M for 2024 and $22.81M for 2023, about $70M over three years. Francesca Albanese's July 2025 UN report calls the F-35 'the largest-ever military procurement programme', from which Israel benefits; Campaign Against Arms Trade confirmed an Israeli F-35 carried out the 13 July 2024 strike on the al-Mawasi 'safe zone' that killed 90 people. Ten days after 7 October 2023 Taiclet told investors there could be 'supplemental requests related to support Ukraine, Israel, and potentially Taiwan.' In February 2025 Lockheed was named principal contractor for 3,000 Hellfire missiles ($660M) sold to Israel. On the April 2026 earnings call, with the US–Israeli war on Iran under way, he summed up his philosophy: 'This is a golden opportunity right now based on who's in government.'
