Israeli arms industry

Aggregate: Israel's weapons makers (Elbit, IAI, Rafael and others)

Organization

This node is not a single company. It stands for Israel's arms industry as a whole. Its core is the state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries (100% state) and Rafael (99.9% state), plus Elbit Systems, which is controlled by the Federmann family, and hundreds of smaller suppliers. These companies arm Israel's own military: Elbit's PULS rockets were used "extensively" in Gaza and Lebanon, and Arrow and David's Sling interceptors defend against Iranian missiles. They also sell abroad, with record export deals of $13.07B in 2023 and over $14.7B in 2024. The UN Special Rapporteur's July 2025 report says Elbit and IAI "provide a critical domestic supply of weaponry" and strengthen Israel's military alliances through exports. It also says their products are marketed as "battle-proven". The label "arms industry" is a euphemism; use "Israeli arms industry".
