Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024

US war-funding law for Israel, $26.38B (April 2024)

Organization

The Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024 is a law, not an organisation. It was the Israel part of the April 2024 security supplemental package and passed the House 366 to 58. It provided $26.38B. That included $4B to replenish Iron Dome and David's Sling, $1.2B for the Iron Beam laser, $3.5B in Foreign Military Financing for Israel to buy US weapons, $1B for artillery and munitions production, $4.4B to refill US stocks already sent to Israel, and $2.4B for US military operations in the region. It also banned funding for UNRWA, the main UN agency providing food and shelter to Palestinians, during the genocide in Gaza. The money flowed mostly to US and Israeli arms makers, including RTX and Rafael, which build David's Sling. It is a proper name, so the label can stay.
