Ed Gallrein

Republican nominee, Kentucky 4th District (UDP-backed; beat Thomas Massie)

Candidate for U.S. House, KY-4 · Person · Kentucky

Ed Gallrein is the Republican who defeated Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentucky's 4th District primary on 19 May 2026. The UN Commission of Inquiry concluded in September 2025 that Israel committed genocide in Gaza; AIPAC's network spends to keep Congress arming Israel regardless. AIPAC's super PAC, United Democracy Project, made the race one of its biggest Republican targets: FactCheck.org's review of FEC filings through 30 June 2026 found UDP spent over $3 million opposing Massie and nearly $500,000 supporting Gallrein. Louisville Public Media called the contest a record-shattering $37M race. UDP's FEC filings show $53.4M in independent expenditures in the 2025–2026 cycle through 31 August 2026, and its ads rarely mention Israel.
