Arms procurement from Israel (Elbit)
Contract or deal
In January 2023 Denmark's Military announced it was buying 19 ATMOS truck-mounted howitzers and 8 PULS rocket launchers from Elbit Systems, to replace CAESAR guns Denmark had given to Ukraine. PULS deliveries were due from summer 2023, ATMOS from early 2024, and full operational status by 2025. The Danish announcement gave no price. In March 2023 Elbit announced two contracts worth $252M for ATMOS and PULS to an unnamed European NATO country, which matches the Danish order, and Janes put the PULS share at about $133M. The deal was signed nine months before the genocide in Gaza, but deliveries continued throughout it. PULS is used heavily by Israel's army in Gaza and Lebanon. Denmark's money went to Elbit, which the UN Special Rapporteur names as a key domestic supplier of weapons for Israel's war.
