Bulldozer maker; its machines demolish Palestinian homes, says UN
Company · United States · Organization
Caterpillar is the US heavy-machinery maker whose bulldozers Israel uses in demolitions. UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese's July 2025 report states that 'for decades, Caterpillar Inc. has provided Israel with equipment used to demolish Palestinian homes'. The same report names Vanguard its largest institutional investor (9.8%) and BlackRock its third-largest (7.5%), so that between them the two index giants held 17.3% of the company. Al Jazeera's coverage lists Caterpillar among the more than 60 companies named in the report alongside Lockheed Martin, Elbit Systems, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon and Palantir. The UN Commission of Inquiry concluded in Sept 2025 that Israel committed genocide in Gaza and urged states to keep corporations from aiding it.
