Israeli cybersecurity firm bought by Google for $32B
Company · Israel · Organization
Wiz is the Israeli cybersecurity firm that Google bought outright: Google completed its $32B cash acquisition on March 11, 2026, and Wiz joined Google Cloud. That makes Wiz part of the division that, with Amazon, holds Project Nimbus, the $1.2B contract under which Israel buys government and military cloud services from Alphabet and Amazon. UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese's July 2025 report says Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon grant Israel 'virtually government-wide access' to their cloud and AI technologies. The UN Commission of Inquiry concluded in September 2025 that Israel committed genocide in Gaza. Six months later, Google paid $32B in cash for an Israeli tech champion and folded it into the very division that serves Israel's military.
