Safra Catz

Former Oracle CEO; told staff to back Israel or leave

Former Oracle CEO · Person

Safra Catz ran Oracle as CEO from 2014 to September 2025 and is now executive vice chair of its board. Oracle's proxies, as compiled by the data site Gloom, show her total pay at $1.1M for fiscal 2025 and $10.1M for fiscal 2026; Forbes puts her net worth at $2.9B (14 Sep 2026). The Intercept reported in February 2025 that after 7 October 2023 Catz demanded 'Oracle Stands with Israel' be shown on company screens worldwide, called pro-Palestinian rights groups 'brainwashing organizations', and in November 2024 laid down the employment terms: 'For employees, it's clear: if you're not for America or Israel, don't work here.' The same report says Oracle under her built a $319M data center in Jerusalem, ran a confidential project with the Israeli Air Force and worked with the state weapons maker Rafael on AI. Who Profits says Oracle donated equipment worth more than $500,000 in January 2024 'amid the military invasion of Gaza'. A loyalty oath, with a hardware donation attached.
