Ronald P. O'Hanley

State Street CEO; largest single owner of Lockheed Martin

State Street CEO · Person · United States

Ronald P. O'Hanley is chairman and CEO of State Street, the Boston bank whose index funds make it the largest single owner of Lockheed Martin, with about 14.3% ($16.8B) at 30 June 2026, and a 9.27% owner of Northrop Grumman. Those companies build the F-35s and Hellfire missiles supplied to Israel. State Street managed $5.7T at the end of 2025. During the 2026 US–Israeli war on Iran, O'Hanley's public worry was economic: 'I personally worry about what happens if this goes on much longer... Fertilizer is a big one.' The children of Minab did not make his list. The UN Commission of Inquiry, which concluded in September 2025 that Israel committed genocide in Gaza, has called on states to ensure corporations are not involved in aiding genocide; State Street's holdings in the jet makers suggest the message has not yet reached Boston.
