Pentagon contractors

Aggregate: companies paid under Pentagon contracts

Organization

This node is not a single company. It stands for all private firms paid under US Department of Defense contracts, from Lockheed Martin, RTX, Boeing, General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman down to thousands of subcontractors. USAspending records Pentagon contract obligations of $456.9B in FY2023, $445.8B in FY2024 and $491.8B in FY2025, about $1.39T over three years and about $1.76T including FY2026 data published so far. The GAO confirms about $456B for FY2023. Much of this money ends up with shareholders such as BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street, which hold large stakes in the prime contractors. Contracts tied to Israel, such as Boeing's JDAM line, General Dynamics' bomb bodies and Lockheed's Hellfires, are a small but highly profitable part of the total. A clearer label is "Pentagon contractors".
