Daniela Amodei

Anthropic president; co-leads the maker of Maven's Claude layer

Anthropic president · Person

Daniela Amodei co-founded Anthropic in 2021 with her brother Dario and is its president; Forbes puts her net worth at $15.5B (24 Sep 2026). She shares leadership of a company that was the first AI company approved for US classified settings and whose Claude models are integrated in Palantir's Maven Smart System, the Pentagon platform that generates and ranks targets and was used in the 2026 US–Israeli war on Iran. On that war's first day a US Tomahawk strike on an elementary school in Minab killed 156 people, including 120 children; Anthropic's CEO said in June 2026 that the company does not know exactly how its models were used and that a human made the final decision. In February 2026 the Trump administration ordered agencies to stop using Anthropic after it refused to allow fully autonomous weapons or mass domestic surveillance. No public statement by Daniela Amodei on Gaza or Israel has been found.
