Abigail Johnson

Fidelity chair and CEO; Fidelity Charitable no longer lists UNRWA USA as an eligible grant recipient (reported 2024)

Fidelity chair and CEO · Person

Abigail Johnson is chair and CEO of Fidelity Investments (FMR), a private, family-controlled firm that does not publish her pay. Forbes estimates she owns about 29% of Fidelity, which managed $7.1T in discretionary assets at December 2025, and puts her net worth at $41.6B (3 Oct 2026). Fidelity's flagship Contrafund alone held $10.9B of Amazon, $11.9B of Alphabet, $7.0B of Microsoft, $1.1B of Boeing, $124M of Northrop Grumman, $73M of General Dynamics, $18M of Palantir and $4M of Elbit Systems on 15 January 2026. Fidelity Charitable, the group's donor-advised fund, stopped donors giving to UNRWA USA in 2024 as Gaza starved while, Rolling Stone reported, it had passed $2.2M to Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, $2.7M to AIPAC's educational affiliate and $19.5M to the Central Fund of Israel, which pays for West Bank settlements. Aid for refugees was blocked; money for settlements was not. Johnson gave about $330,000 to Hillary Clinton's campaign and the DNC in 2016 and attended a Biden fundraiser in 2024.
