Effective October 5, 2026
These terms apply when you use The Common Network on the web or in the app. By using it, you agree to them.
What we provide
The Common Network is a nonpartisan information service. It summarizes what is publicly reported about how decisions are made, and suggests civic actions you can take. It is not legal, financial or voting advice, and it isn’t affiliated with any government, party or campaign.
Accuracy
We source every story and label how well each one is confirmed (how we tag). Still, reporting changes, and we can get things wrong. Check deadlines, contact details and voting information with the official source before relying on them. If you spot an error, tell us at hello@thecommonnetwork.com.
Your account
You sign in with Google, and you’re responsible for activity on your account. Please keep the jurisdiction you choose and the actions you mark as done truthful. They feed the anonymous counts other readers see.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to harass anyone, including officials or their staff, or to impersonate others, scrape it in bulk, disrupt it, or break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.
Contributions
Contributions go through Stripe, are voluntary and are not tax-deductible. Monthly contributions renew until you cancel. To cancel, or if you were charged by mistake, email hello@thecommonnetwork.com.
Our content
You’re welcome to share links to our stories. Quoted news coverage and linked sources belong to their original publishers.
No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it, or from relying on its content.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the service after a change means you accept it. Your data is covered by our privacy policy. Questions: hello@thecommonnetwork.com.
