Halls · computed from the record, updated nightly

Who answered. Who didn't.

Every person and organization our stories name, ranked by what they did when asked. Nobody is placed by hand: the halls are a sort over the same entities, stories, responses, outcomes and facts you see everywhere else.

Ranked by what got fixed: stories closed as won after the entity answered, admissions on the record, and the auditors, clerks and boards whose action produced an outcome. Being named in a story is not disqualifying; refusing to answer is.

How the halls are computed

Shame score = open stories × (1 + silent share) + lost outcomes, with $ in the record as the tiebreak. Fame score = won + ½ partial outcomes after a response or admission, plus outcomes the entity itself produced.

Moving between halls

A single admission or a single story closed as won moves an entity out of Shame. Declining to comment counts as silence. Nothing here is edited by hand; corrections go through the story.
