Jakarta culture agency head Iwan Henry Wardhana was convicted over a fictitious arts-spending scheme; appeal court raised his sentence to 12 years

Jakarta's High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati DKI) named DKI Jakarta Culture Agency head Iwan Henry Wardhana, acting division head M. Fairza Maulana and event organizer Gatot Arif Rahmadi as suspects on January 2, 2025 in a scheme prosecutors said used fictitious vendors and falsified accountability reports (SPJ), including staged photos of a Rp15 billion dance performance, to draw about Rp150 billion from the agency's 2023 budget.
