Tanzania's president has not published the inquiry report that found at least 518 people died in post-election violence

A Commission of Inquiry announced on 14 November 2025 after Tanzania's 29 October 2025 election handed its report to President Samia Suluhu Hassan on 23 April 2026; Amnesty International says it found at least 518 people died of unnatural causes, including gunshot injuries. The president has not made the report public.
