Angola's land agency set a 2023 state land concession at 96 times less than its 2014 price; Maka Angola links the grantee to a senior agency official's cousin.

Maka Angola (9 Dec 2025) reports that Angola's Instituto Geografico e Cadastral (IGCA) processed a 2023 concession of 82.6 hectares of state land in Mabuia, Icolo e Bengo, at 343,500 kwanzas, versus the 33 million kwanzas paid for the concession in 2014 (a 96-fold difference); the outlet says even that amount was not paid. It reports the original cadastral process, belonging to another user, was erased with correction fluid and overwritten with the new grantee's name, Sarajeu.
