Auditors again could not give an opinion on Nottingham City Council's accounts, for the year ending March 2025.

External auditor Grant Thornton issued a disclaimer of opinion on Nottingham City Council's financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2025, saying it had 'no assurance' over the council's opening cash balances and so could not be sure of closing balances, according to West Bridgford Wire. Grant Thornton has audited the council since 2019 and issued a disclaimer for 2019-20 as well.
