Varanasi house demolished despite High Court status-quo order; three officials deny on affidavit that they demolished it, one admits being present with police

On 7 May 2026 the Allahabad High Court ordered status quo on House 39/12, Dalmandi, Varanasi, after the municipal corporation issued a demolition notice in April. The petitioner says the house was demolished on 11 June 2026.
