Norway's Auditor General found NAV gave its ministry and auditors incorrect information about benefit-system logging; NAV's director resigned
Norway's Office of the Auditor General (Riksrevisjonen) found that the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV) told the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion and the Auditor General that activity logging was active in its pension, disability and parental-benefit databases when in fact logging for all relevant users was not switched on until June and September 2025; the affected systems manage about NOK 475 billion. It also found NAV controlled only 0.6 percent of invoices for orthopedic aids.
