What happened
Loui Ridi, a Palestinian American from Ohio, traveled to the West Bank village of Qusra (south of Nablus) after Israeli settlers surrounded and besieged several Palestinian homes there for more than a week, trapping residents inside (including Ridi's brother and nephew) and, in some cases, cutting off food, water, and electricity. This is extensively and independently confirmed by major outlets. The Israeli military declared the area a 'closed military zone' and deployed troops it said were there to maintain order, but had not dispersed the settlers as of the reporting; U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee publicly called the settlers involved 'terrorists.'
