What happened
Mexico's Auditoria Superior de la Federacion (ASF), reviewing the 2024 public account, found the Consejo de la Judicatura Federal (CJF) made payments exceeding 272 million pesos for security, cleaning, printing/IT and catering services without documentation proving the services were actually delivered -- including a 431,900-peso catering contract with Profesionales en Comidas Industriales that was never cancelled even though the cafeteria service was suspended for two months. The ASF issued 34 observations, including 11 recommendations and 11 formal administrative-responsibility complaints, against the CJF, which was dissolved in 2025 as part of Mexico's judicial reform.
