What happened
In February 2026 the Utah Department of Health and Human Services revoked the license of a Crimson Heights youth congregate care facility in St. George. The Notice of Agency Action states a staff member had a sexual relationship with a minor client and was charged with felony kidnapping, felony custodial sexual relations and misdemeanor unlawful sexual activity with a minor. State regulators also concluded that administrators were alerted to boundary-violation concerns between October and December 2025 and did not take sufficient steps to protect clients. The charges are allegations. The provider later agreed with the department to close all of its congregate care facilities serving minors by the end of July 2026. In a written statement to KSL, Crimson Heights contested the decision, requested an administrative hearing, and said the employee was fired before charges were filed and the St. George site has closed.
