What happened
Police in Pune are investigating the sale of a roughly 40-acre Mundhwa plot, leased to the Botanical Survey of India, to Amadea Enterprises LLP for about Rs 300 crore, with about Rs 21 crore stamp duty allegedly waived. On 1 October 2026 Justice Madhav Jamdar asked the state why Rajya Sabha MP Parth Pawar, who holds 99 per cent of the firm, is not an accused while Digvijay Patil, with 1 per cent, is, and granted anticipatory bail to a tehsildar. The Maharashtra DGP told the court a more detailed investigation would follow under his monitoring.
