What happened
Federal prosecutor Ramiro Gonzalez charged Demian Reidel, who served as president of the state nuclear utility Nucleoelectrica Argentina S.A. from April 23, 2025 to February 9, 2026, with fraud against the public administration and misappropriation of public funds over alleged personal charges on the company's corporate credit card -- including expenses at nightclubs, hair salons and clothing stores -- made between March 2025 and February 2026. The case originated from a complaint filed by national deputy Marcela Pagano, which also named other board and audit-committee members. Reidel formally contested the accusations before the court.
