What happened
Hossein Ghavi (Silavi), a disabled tea-stall worker from Ahvaz, was arrested by IRGC intelligence in March 2026, reportedly for filming bombed areas and sending footage to foreign media. On 2 April 2026 IRGC intelligence phoned his family to say he had died, according to HRANA, without explaining the conditions of his detention or the cause of death; his body had not been returned at the time of reporting.
