What happened
A periodic transaction report (Filing ID 20017743) digitally signed by Rep. Warren Davidson on Mar. 25, 2021 lists five transactions dated between May 17, 2018 and Sept. 21, 2020, including a sale of Workhorse Group stock valued at $50,001 to $100,000 on Aug. 28, 2020. The signing date is 185 to 1,043 days after the transaction dates listed; the STOCK Act requires reports within 45 days of a trade. On Sept. 22, 2021 the Campaign Legal Center asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to review Davidson and six other House members over stock trades, saying it had not found reports for them. NPR reported that a Davidson spokesperson said the report had been filed and that an error on the House Clerk's website kept it from being published, and shared a copy bearing the Mar. 25, 2021 signature. The spokesperson said Davidson is in full compliance. No finding about Davidson appears in the House Ethics Committee's press-release archive or in the Office of Congressional Conduct's published investigation lists as of Oct. 5, 2026.
