What happened
In March 2026 the House voted 357-65 to refer Rep. Nancy Mace's resolution, which would have forced public release of Ethics Committee sexual-harassment and misconduct investigation records, back to committee, effectively ending it. In an official statement Mace said it was 'hypocrisy' for members who 'scream Release the Epstein Files' to vote to 'bury' Congress's own harassment records. The Ethics Committee's Republican and Democratic leaders opposed the resolution, arguing publication could chill victim cooperation in ongoing investigations.
