Rep. Lauren Boebert's 2021 annual financial disclosure (House Clerk Filing ID 10050195, filed 08/13/2022) lists eight transactions in a Robinhood account owned by her spouse, four purchases and four sales dated 05/05/2021 and 05/07/2021, each valued at $1,001 to $15,000 and involving 'Crypto Money Movement COIN'. The STOCK Act requires members of Congress to report such transactions within 45 days. Searches of the House Clerk's financial disclosure database for Boebert, filing years 2020 through 2026, return only annual, amendment, new-filer and extension filings and no periodic transaction reports. The Colorado Sun reported on August 23, 2022 that she did not file the required periodic transaction reports for the trades, that members may be fined $200 for filing them late, and that Business Insider had reported penalties for STOCK Act violations are typically waived; a Campaign Legal Center official told the Sun that Office of Congressional Ethics STOCK Act referrals rarely result in House Ethics Committee action. A spokesman for Boebert did not respond to the Sun's request for comment. No public House Ethics Committee or Office of Congressional Ethics finding on these filings was located.
