Honduras' Consejo Nacional Anticorrupcion (CNA) said on May 27, 2026 that former OABI (seized-assets office) director Marco Antonio Zelaya and former administration chief Andrea Carolina Zavala authorized financing of roughly $992,000 (about L25 million) requested in December 2024 by a seized company, plus a further disbursement of about $39,600 that the CNA says lacked technical justification. CNA executive director Gabriela Castellanos said the roughly $1.03 million moved without institutional controls and that there is no record of any repayment. The CNA's findings have not been adjudicated and the OABI had not responded in the sources.
