What happened
Altinget (22 Oct 2025) reports that Transport Minister Thomas Danielsen shared a Banedanmark presentation on the state of the railway with the parties to the rail funding agreement only after the outlet obtained it through a freedom-of-information request, about four months after he received it. Altinget describes the presentation's content as "alarmerende" and "vild" reading, warning that lines could face closures or speed reductions within years without more funding. Alternativet's transport spokesperson Christina Olumeko said it was "under al kritik" that the minister had not informed the Folketing. Danielsen rejects that the substance was new to the parties involved.
