What happened
A periodic transaction report (Filing ID 20025622) signed by Rep. Greg Landsman on Aug. 14, 2024 lists 91 stock transactions, all in spouse-owned (30) or joint (61) accounts, dated Jan. 12, 2023 through July 17, 2024. Each lists an Aug. 8, 2024 notification date. Eighty-seven of the transactions were dated 55 to 580 days before the filing; the STOCK Act requires members to report within 30 days of notification and no later than 45 days after a transaction. At an October 2024 debate Landsman said he did not make the trades and did not know about them until his annual financial disclosure was being put together, and, as quoted by Fox News, that "It was late and that was wrong." He told Fox News Digital the trades were disclosed late and the problem had been fixed. Fox News also reports that a former Commerce Department inspector general filed an ethics complaint over the delay. A later report (Filing ID 20030207, signed May 13, 2025) lists a spouse-account Exxon Mobil share exchange dated May 6, 2024, with an Apr. 21, 2025 notification date; the filing notes the exchange was an automatic result of a merger and was not directed or requested by Landsman, his spouse or their financial manager. No statement about Landsman appears in the House Ethics Committee's press-release archive (latest listed release: Aug. 28, 2026) as of Oct. 5, 2026, and no public record of a fee or committee action was found.
