Former Kogi governor Yahaya Bello arraigned by EFCC on 19-count charge over N80.2bn alleged money laundering during his 2016-2024 tenure

Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello on charges alleging he laundered N80.2 billion in state funds, and separately filed additional charges accusing him of diverting more than N110 billion during his eight years in office. Bello pleaded not guilty to all counts.
